Hong Kong Protests 2019

The Hong Kong Protests were a series of political demonstations against plans to allow extradition to mainland China. The bill was withdrawn in September 2019, however political unrest continued under concerns that the bill could be revived and demonstrators called for an inquiry into police actions. From June to November 2019, clashes between protestors and law inforcement became increasingly more violent; police began firing live bullets and protestors attacked police personnel with petrol bombs and smoke flares. This collection of images was taken at a smaller student demonstration in Ho Man Tin. Approximately 200 students formed a human chain near the offices of the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation to protest against the postponement of multiple annual inter-school sports events.
